Recently People have been making skins that seem no to be shaded but really nice. So, Anyone got a shading technique or tutorial they would like to share?

Try those.
I use paint.NET and an IOS app. Mainly the IOS app. I can't really explain how I shade though, but the app helps alot. Also, paint.NET is free.
I personally use GIMP or PhotoShop, you can go on there and add different shades of the color you're working with then use smudge and push it all around and it gives it a nice shade.
