I apologize for posting here if it is wrong, but im in a bit of a pickle.
A coder, an idealist, and myself have a mod we recently have created, called Fishing Craft. Upon testing the mod for bugs and what have you, a family member of mine comes over my shoulder and says "same texture much?"
Feeling that the rest of my group needed to know, I shared it with them. Then, the coder posts in the Mods section that we need a texture pack for our mod. It has been a few weeks, and as far as I know, there have not been any progress, so what's the next step?
Create one on my own. Sadly, I am not well at designing yet, so I was hoping for some help. Does anyone know where I can find tips to make better images for minecraft? My first image was okay for a beginner, but I have seen some of what you all can do, and I figure someone would be willing to help me. If not, would you please tell me of someone who can? Or someone who might be willing to do the texture for us? In exchange we could add something to our mod that you wish, providing that it coincides with what we are doing in the mod.

Even though I suggest contacting other PMCers because they may have experience. I would advise you to actually create the textures, just because it will be a fun little project and something which you can only get better at.
However do not try and make a texture in 10 minutes, these types of textures will not look any where near the standard. I would advise spending at least 15-30 minutes on each texture, then re checking at a later date and improving.

I would try looking for some active PMCers who do textures and ask them directly.
