6-Bit or Smooth

-----On my blog (please read first), I asked you which of two texture pack ideas you like the most. Here are 4 textures in all of their beauty :P
-----On the right are two 6-BIT textures. They use a 61 color palette plus an additional 7 grays. All of the textures use the same color set.
-----On the left, is a smooth grass block and a smooth enchantment table; each with averaged colors. Why average the colors instead of just picking one? Here's why:
-----If you look at the lava texture, you can see that there are many colors. The top right, bottom right, and bottom left images all have colors that are picked strait from the original. They are all different. In the top left is lava's true average color. If I made a texture just by "picking" the colors it could be wildly different than the original.
-----Both of these ideas will take time to finish and will both be fun to complete. I want to here what you have to say. Post what you think about the idea, what you like about it, and what you don't like about it. :)
