Connected glass textures
Does anyone know of a mod that has connected glass textures for 1.14+ or is planned to be updated soon for the updated version? My most recent base kind of depends on glass and i'd like an unobstructed view of outside without the individual blocks getting in the way

I'm about to try Optifine on a potato Windows 7 that lags to the point of being nearly unplayable, so I'll see how that goes.

Update:
This is my first response: "Oh my gosh, I can actually play! I can actually play!!"
Yeah, OptiFine works. I toggled a few settings for better performance. You can hover over the new settings and a little pop-up window comes and tells you what it does. Apparently doesn't work for Vanilla settings.

Have you tried with Optifine?

apparently optifine is for the higher end computers and let's just say a silver spoon is nowhere in sight for me

Optifine is meant just for the opposite. It helps increase over all gameplay, with less lag and better FPS, if you configure it right. I would highly suggest it for people that play on laptops and non-gaming pcs. Optifine does have a 1.14+ version out right now, but it's the beta one.

then, is it relatively simple to configure it for potatoes? i have a texture pack, will it cancel it out with default textures?

There are a few guides out there of how to adjust all the setting for the best performance. You can easily adjust it yourself too, its straightforward and has descriptions on the settings to help you out (I haven't followed any guides myself). I don't use texture packs too often, but I know that some texture packs are made with optifine in mind -- since creators can add animations to textures and new models easily that way. It's just something you'll have to try out, but I do not think it would be default glass textures if you use a pack.
