Do you prefer to use noise in your textures?
Noise texturing is essentially, the "graininess" in some minecraft textures to give it a broader palette and more complexity. Noise on its own looks like TV static to some degree, when it's used as an image.
That being said, do you prefer to give them that, or are flatter textures more your style?
I try not to usually, especially because it's not super easy, but as a concept it is tempting.

I do noise for mob skins, but for player skins, i do my own shading style.
I do noise for some reason but try to shade in my own style when I can
I usually use noise when in a very very small amount when creating textures. As an example: I love using a white-noise layer with a maybe 5-6% opacity when creating paintings that need to have a tiny bit of wear on them :p
You should only use it if you need graininess. If you want something that's supposed to be white and desaturated, don't use it. Personally, noise just looks lazy. You should definitely do the lighting and noise manually, though. It looks better.
