Edit a texture pack
I want to edit faithful texture pack just a bit. I just want to edit the glass to make it clear and maybe if I find a nice water texture add that to the pack. How do I do that for 1.6.2?

Did you not read what Ii just said? I done what he said didn't work!
I tried and its basically the same thing I done before but it only edits the glass while its in my hand when I place it it stays normal.
Its for personal use only. I'm gonna try what he said as soon as I have time.
Before you do this, I must ask. Is this for personal use? Or are you wishing to place it on PMC?
If it's for personal, do as the above stated.
If it's prepping for PMC, then don't post it as it will be containing stolen textures.

first you need to extract the files from the .zip before you can edit them. then locate the textures you want to edit for example glass is located at packname/textures/blocks/glass.png then you can open that file in an image editor (like paint.net or gimp) and make your changes. then you will need to rezip it before using it.
