Hello, I am working on a resource pack and am confused about how I would texture the grass. This is because it changes color between biomes and I can't tell if I need to make the grass green or something else like leather armor.

Yes, grass and leaves have a colorless texture. That texture is colored based on a colormap at "...\assets\minecraft\textures\colormap".

by default, the texture for grass blocks is grey/desaturated. using the biome colours, minecraft will automatically colour it for you. don't make it green!
