Help on Building a Texture Pack!
I doubt anyone will reply but I'm just putting this out here.
I am very interested in creating texturepacks, however there are a lot of things I don't know how to do. For instance, the texture of water/lava, I have done one small texturepack before but I really want to get good at making texturepacks. What are the steps to make a texturepack and any suggestions/tips on making them?

You're welcome!
1st, go into your minecraft.jar and take out the following folders: textures, title, mob, misc, item, gui, environment, art, armor, and achievement.
2nd. Put these folders into a folder on your desktop or somewhere you will remember.
3rd. Go into the folders and edit the pictures using your preferred photo editor. I use Paint.NET.
4th. When you are done editing take all of your folders and compress it into a .zip.
You are done! (I think.)

Thanks so much! You really helped me out!
Do you mean the basics of starting?
Also, be original.
