I'm sorry if the title is misleading but...
I need to know what art/photo editing program I need to use to make a texture pack. I have a mac, so Gimp won't work. I won't buy photoshop for 19.99 a month so I can make texture packs, and I don't want anything too sketchy looking (as in the software seems suspicious of containing a virus). Is there anything I can use to make a texture pack?
If it helps, I'm using the original texture pack files in the minecraft folder, and I'm gonna copy them onto my desktop so I can edit them.

Hi I have something for you only need to download or via google . you apple computer if so iphoto download , no download windows photo maker , I hope you 've found it , so good luck
Pixlr works in your browser, so I think you'll be able to use it.
Perhaps Paint-Net could work,it`s freeware....
Paint.NET is Windows only.
I agree with what you mean about GIMP; I did the same.
However, I got PS for free through my mums work so .
If you where REALLY wanting to; you could run Paint.NET. in a VM as I dont think Wine For Mac will do it as it is .NET based and it needs Windows 7+.
