it basically makes the mobs be made of ice or fire.

Might be a 'cool' idea if the mobs shot out fire and ice and left a trail behind them too.
Also the ice creatures need to be a lighter blue. your not doing water after all.
IF you made a texture pack using this idea you might have a great little something there.
