Request: Transparent maps? (java)
In maps like skyblock or oneblock if you fill a map, the surrounding empty void that is the sky shows as grey on said map. Is there a texturepack that changes that grey to transparent instead?

this is not possible to change with just a resource pack. you'd be better off looking for a mod instead.
Ok I might try that thanks
Edit: I searched "transparent maps" and "clear maps" but it's suggesting glass mods, maps with zooming, and everything but what I'm looking for

Concur about not being able to change this via resource pack.
It seems likely that such a thing exists, but finding it may be challenging…
You may need to get creative with hte search terms.
Suggest adding 'skyblock' / 'oneblock' to the searches and trying terms like 'degreyed'/'degrayed' (or 'grey'/ 'gray') and 'void' / 'better void'

To make the search a little easier I also reposted to datapack threads

it should be transparent when you put it on an item frame
It's not though I put it on one and it was still grey
ok i just found out how, you need to put glass over the void
Interesting
I'll try that and update if it works
Edit: It worked! I tested on a glass superflat world
