Resource Pack Help
How do I make a resource pack? I saw a couple of them on the site, and I wanted to learn how to make one.

A program you can use is called Piskel. It's good for making sprites one pixel at a time. If you export it is a .png, however, you will need to convert it. One site I use to convert those files to usable .png files is Online-Convert.com (http://image.online-convert.com/convert-to-png).
As far as Piskel goes, you can use it in the browser or download a desktop version for free. It works exactly the same either way, minus the "save in browser" option.

As a recource pack and mod developer myself (those are just private, if its put on the internet places like 9minecraft and such sites will steal it) ive used paint.net for textures becuase of the transparency and ive recorded MP3 which i converted to .ogg format. i havent been making r.p. becuase they changed the way the sounds are put in now i cant figure it out so ive been sticking to textures and such. If you need textures done i can assist, just give me a theme and a resolution and i can get to work.
Is there a place where I don't have to draw the textures? I am really bad at drawing.
...
What do you mean by "make a resource pack," then?
I'm not quite sure what you want, but, if you haven't seen it, Painterly might be good; don't post a Painterly pack on PMC, though, because if you're not drawing the textures, you're not really making it.

i think they meant this: "is there a place i dont have to allow me to make textures" not "is there a place that auto generates textures for me for my resource pack" and if you (nyanchu) meant the 1st thing then try getting a resource pack at the resolution you want it at and edit the textures (atleast 50% of vanilla textures and if you want the sounds too) but if you do this youll have to make sure you edit every texture already in the resource pack and the sounds too (and also like in sphax the custom names like the nether star is nether cube and so on lol)
I recommend that you use MightyPork's ResourcePack Workbench for editing the pack itself, and GIMP or Paint.NET, as tywilburn16 said, for editing the textures (I've never actually used Paint.NET, but I've heard that it's good).
novaskin.me has a good resource pack creator, almost no downloads needed.
Paint.net is a good editor becuase it allows for transparent textures. link: http://www.getpaint.net/index.html
How do I begin making one? and what should I use to make the textures?
