Should I make one?

I just recently figured out how to make a Resource Pack. But I don't know if I would have the time (or the patience) to make one. Maybe I should just stick with building buildings, and the basic redstoning. I'm sort of mixed right now. Help! Does it take a long time to make a good Resource Pack?
