Hello, I frequently make and update resource packs which to me is the funnest thing in minecraft. What I have not done yet is edit sounds. If any experienced resource pack makers know how to do this, Then please reply in this topic with any recommended sound editing programs, Thank you!

(If this forum post should not be in this topic, Please inform me as this is resource pack related I didn't know where else to put this)

I will +1 audacity as well.
I keep forgetting to use it for my normal videos but I am going to use it for my cinematic series that is in the works.
It's brilliant for singling out voices, editing their pitch and making them sound robotic/alien.

Depends in what you want to make... just edit sounds or make your own?

If you want to edit then i would also recommand Audacity

If you want to make your own then i would recommand LMMS (Linux Multi Media Studio)
or FL studio, Thats about what i know :/

*clap.. clap.. clap....* will you be here all week?

by lightweight I meant that it doesn't have a ton of extra fluff that you'll never use.

I recommend downloading Audacity, a free sound editing program, and playing around with it. That's about all I've ever needed to rip and edit sounds for a resource pack.
