So, i found a tutorial on how to make a texture pack on youtube and i followed what it said. I coppied my Minecraft.jar file and opened it to access the texture folders. I edited a few things just to see if it would work and look good. Then like the tutorial said i put all the files into a zip and placed the zip file in my texture pack folder. Problem is it isnt showing up on my texture pack list. Im using the new minecraft launcher with the latest snapshot 13w22a. I dont know if that has anything to do with it?

Try going into your texture pack folder and unzipping the folder in there.
Go into Options-> Texture Packs-> Open Texture Packs Folder. That's the folder you should have pasted the pack into. I can't think of any reason that it wouldn't show up on the list other than that it wasn't in the right folder.
Make sure you're using the updated format. Texture packs have a new layout as of 1.5, and any packs that worked in versions before it won't work now without being updated.
