Texture Pack Help Please
For some reason I am having trouble uploading and using texture packs. I don't know if it is something on my end or if it is something with the texture pack, but either way I could really use some help getting this sorted out.

it might be the size of the resource pack if it is larger than 64x64 then older 32bit computers sometimes will not load large resource packs, so i reccomend checking on the size of the pack and possibly trying a smaller pack or a different one to see if it is just the resource pack itself that isnt working for some reason. anyways hope this helps.

yeah i have played the game but i haven't gotten a new resource pack but for some reason it just isn't working
ok 1st off to download and install it sounds like you already have it downloaded so i wont cover that yet, once its downloaded it should be in a .zip folder, so if your using minecrafts normal launcher then open minecraft click options and click open resource pack folder, once that folder is opened then click the resource pack you downloaded and drag it into the resource pack folder and thats all it should work.
if it doesnt work like that then leme know
P.S. you said you havent played for a while so you prolly know this but if you havent updated your minecraft launcher to the new launcher since minecraft was updated to 1.5.2 then be sure you have downloaded the new launcher for minecraft from http://minecraft.net or none of the resource packs will work on old launcher.

also when i open the file, it has a bunch of stuff that my other resource packs don't have
i have extracted it but when i place it in my resource pack folder and go into minecraft it isn't there. could it be for a different version of minecraft or what?
extract always works, but it shouldn't make a difference. Extract it into the resourcepack folder.
sorry i haven't been able to reply as i have been pretty busy lately and i meant download and use (sorry for the confusion). once i have it downloaded do i just put it in the resource pack folder or do i need to extract it? i haven't used a new texture pack in a while so i don't quite remember. thanks for the help

Ok first off what texture pack is it and do you even know how to install one? Its quite simple actully. All you have to do really is just put it into the folder and your good to go.
He's asking how to upload a texture pack, not how to install one. There is a PMC upload limit and it could be possible that your texture pack is beyond that limit (nought I highly doubt it unless it's HD or something similar).
How big is the texture pack?
