Texture pack problem.Help needed Urgent!
Hello, I have a custom gun texture pack on my server.The ammo the guns were using was clay but I figured out that if you dug clay it could be used as ammo.So, I switched clay into monster egg (Empty one, useless) and then went to my texture pack and renamed the ammo texture from clay_ball to monster_egg but didn't work.Can you please help me?

Well, there's quite a few things that can be going wrong. Are you re-writing whatever gun plugin you're using to take (in this case I would recommend using the records for ammo, no access in survival unless a skeleton kills a creeper, and even then you can change creeper drops) the record (you will need to specify both parts of the item id) as ammo? You didn't say if the texture wasn't showing up or if you're not actually getting the ammo thing working. Also, you need to make sure you have the right file structure in your texture pack: "yourpacknamehere".zip/assets/minecraft/textures/item
Then you should make sure you typed the correct texture name as the name of the image you're using for ammo.

the texture names are spawn_egg.png, and spawn_egg_overlay.png in case that helps.

What's monster egg's name? That might be your problem.
No name, just monster_egg or id 383.Plain spawnmob egg, doesn't spawn anything.
Yeah, are you sure it is monster_egg?

No name, just monster_egg or id 383.Plain spawnmob egg, doesn't spawn anything.
Monster eggs dont really have a texture. it just uses the mob egg and overlay texture and thats it. there is no way to make a monster egg into ammo unless you want to completely mess up the mob egg textures. I recommend that you change the ammo texture to something that you can't access in survival mode, but not a monster egg. I hope this helps
