TEXTURE PACK QUESTION
Hey, so I have a question about the Chat Section of a texture pack.
As you can see here: http://prntscr.com/8t729s , there is a Grey Transparent background behind the chat. I always hated this, I looked in settings and I found no way to turn it off. I know you can make it invisible because a while back I saw someone on YouTube with no Grey Background.
I know a Bit about Paint.net and texture packs, so as long as you can give me the directions to get to the area where I can remove the background, that would be amazing!

Actually it IS a mod, try typing "minecraft chat mod" into your browser. You should be able to find one that you like.
I didn't watch the video but they either changes the opacity of chat through the typical Minecraft multiplayer settings or he used some kind of mod or something. You cant do it by using resource packs.
Yeah, unfortunately you can't change that with a texture pack, the youtuber was probably running minecraft 1.7.10 with the chat opacity lowered (I think the opacity works differently on minecraft 1.7. than 1.8).

she was using 1.7.X like i said that is done on 1.8 by setting the opacity to 50%
have you tried putting the chat opacity down? ive done it and it shows a similar effect to what you just explained...
set the chat opacity to 11%
EDIT: this is a thing with 1.7.10.. in 1.8+ set the opacity to 50%

It's been gray for as long as I know. Could you maybe send a link to that youtuber for us?
Are you sure it can be changed with a resource pack? I've never seen or read about anything like that, and a couple quick Google searches and look through the default pack gave me nothing. Could the person on YouTube have been using a mod?
