Hi, I have a curiosity to ask you, I would like to know why I see in some texture pack packages in addition to the basic image, the same image but in negative to what server to put the images also in negative ???
increases the resolution? does minecraft help to render the package better? I also have a texture pack but I never put negative images, just normal images, I would like to understand what they are for if they improve the package.
thank you

The image, I think you are talking about is probably the image that minecraft gives to resource packs that either A) Don't have a basic image or B) The Image that the resource pack has doesn't work properly so minecraft just places the negative one instead.
Not sure, but you probably talking about normal maps (for example stone_n.png) these are special textures that are working with shaders giving the blocks more depth.
