Hello fellow people, i seem to be having a misunderstanding on how the sword size is judged with texturing, this is the texture (its an image from the internet btw ik im lazy)
and i wanted to use for my diamond sword, it technically works fine:
Dont mind the weird graphics around the edges some kind of glitch, anyways i applied it, it technically worked but i was dissapointed with the sword's size, i put it into 512x512 and it was small like a toothpick in-game, can anyone provide me with a guide or advice that describes how to make my swords texture larger to make it look bigger in-game without affecting resolution? Thanks people. I hope i described my issue well

You are just replacing texture put on model that stays the same size. To actually make the size sword bigger you will have to edit display values for the model itself, not the texture.

ohhh it has the normal size for a sword but it's a lot thinner which makes it look a lot smaller, to change it's size you'd need to do what oakar said

well, u could make it a few millimeters bigger by cropping the image to make the tip of the blade and the tip of the handle touch the corners but u wouldnt even notice it xd
