Is this a bad texture pack ???

This idea is far from new. It has been done by different people in different ways since the game supported packs.

I've seen it with just words (no textures), words on default, words on bucketfill/filled+outlined textures, etc.

Bottom line is that it's gimmicky and now that the f3 menu can be used to show the block's name it is even less useful than it was in the past.

Kinda cherrypicking the bad responses from the good; anything innovative will have more people who will say "I don't like it that much, but it's an idea" than an idea that's consistent with the normal.

Interesting, I wouldn't use it myself though. Not that I would need to.

Just make clear what's the use.
Just add a description that describe it.
And maybe just make the words a bit more transparent, or with a dark shade of the block, it'll be more enjoyable.

Interesting idea. Maybe you could make the text not cover the whole block in the middle, but maybe with small text in a corner.

Perhaps you could release a version without the text.

It's an interesting idea, but the text does make it look sort of bad. If it's for beginners, though, it could be useful (when I first started playing, I would've liked a way to make stone and clay look less similar ).

I think if you put in the title [A Texture Pack For Beginners] people will start to realise what the pack is supposed to be showing.

Other than that, looks good for a resource pack to show new players what blocks are.

Good idea, but I honestly think it would look better if you used some sort of color coding system rather than the words =D
