To make a texture pack, can I use pixlr on this image
http://danaemc.com/images/blog/terrain.png
If so, what do I need to save it as? I've tried png and tiff, neither of them work

Yeah, I think you can edit the image in pixlr with .png, .gimp, or .pnd and it will work, stick in a folder (maybe it has to be zipped) and upload it to this site.
Tell me if I'm wrong

the problem is that you need some kinda software like photoshop to allow you to save as a PNG With Transparency, without it and pixel edito wont work.

I'm not sure if this is the problem, but when i tried making a pack i ''zipped'' the folder containing the files, but you need to zip the files itself together. Just saying.
