What is happening is that there are transparent textures in the Lightsaber. What program are you using to create the textures?

If you are talking about the weapon that could be because some of the pixels are semi-transparent in the file. Erase outside edge ones and color pick and refill inside with a solid pencil. You can use the magic wand tool to find ones that are almost invisible if you have that.
