Zombie Texture Help

I am making a custom texture for a minecraft movie I am making, but when I finished the zombie, It has a white head ingame. Can someone please tell me why this is.

Since your using paint.net, the hat part of the picture might be white. It should be checkered, so use the eraser tool to erase the white.

Zombies skins are the same as human skins, the white head is probably because you used paint, which doesn't support transparency, so it makes the hat layer white.

I would recommend using McSkin3D which is a program for skin editing and such.

McSkin3D doesn't let me copy and paste parts of skins, which is what I need to do.

I used paint, now I use paint.net, I dont think zombies skins are compatible with human skins.

Will anyone be able to solve my problem? Also do I need to put my edited zombie on PMC so you can have a look at it?
