I happened across this thread again this morning and was reading some of the newer comments... I think I'd like to give blood the next time I'm given the opportunity. I'm over my fear of needles I think and I'd like to be part of helping people in hospitals who need blood transfusions.

This is different. He did care, but he was different. He can't just straight up say "I love you" or "I care about you," she had to look at him, which it seems like something she would not do.
That's more a message to people who are angsty because their parents are different (Or they're treated differently because of their parent's differences), and less to those who think their parents don't care.
