explorer (can venture far away from colonies and the lander)

Mind if I create the setting on the moon so I have something to work with when I make my first IC post? Right now there isn't a description as to the way things are set up on the moon.
we all start on the lander, albeit a raver large lander, and we need to explore the moon and put colonies down in tactical positions. the lander is located in an ocean.
As the other roleplays fade in the wind... hopefully this one does not befall the same fate.
