Even after joining the United Alliance of Sentient Races, the Aurian Empire continued to raid outposts and colonies of other races. it was overlooked in council meetings to avoid war. However, the Likrath eventually had enough, and declared war on the Aurians.
The war was devastating. Neither side could break the other, but they continued to try. After thirty-four years of destruction, the Humans called a for ceasefire, and arranged a peace conference the following year, aboard their flagship, the Windfall. The Humans and the Netran drew up a treaty, which would be presented at the conference.
Now it is the day of the first conference meeting. Representatives of each race have come. However, the tension between the Likrath and the Aurians is still high. War between other races is dreaded. The destructive capabilities of every race are so much higher than in the last major war. A victory by either side would be that in name only.

This is my first Roleplay ever. I've had the idea for a while, and wanted to see what could happen.
Races
The technology of this future is advanced. Faster than light travel is commonplace. Cybernetics is available, but is looked down upon. The Netran have recently created a device which could destroy a planet, but have promised not to use it. Use these as examples when creating your character.
Your character can have three ranks: Ambassador, Military, and Civilian. Only ONE Ambassador will be accepted for each race. They may represent the race in council meetings. A Military character may legally carry weapons, and can own a starship. They may also work on one. A Civilian can not carry weapons (unless they are Aurian.) and cannot own a starship. However, they may be openly criminal.
All council meetings are open for the public to attend.
Races
- Human; Leaders of the United Alliance of Sentient Races and owners of the
- Windfall
- . They used to be the most powerful race, but are now declining. The Humans know of their downfall, but are powerless to stop it. They are close allies with the Errites and the Netran. They want to keep the peace and avoid another major war.
- Netran; The most powerful race in the galaxy. Their empire is vast, stretching across thousands of planets. They are reptillian scientists, always looking for more knowledge. They have become cybernetic, with almost all of them having enhancements. Because of this, all of them have access to their entire computer system. They have pale green scales covering their entire bodies. They stand like humans, only because they found it was efficient. Most of them wear black or gray overcoats and pants. They are close allies with the Humans.
- Likrath; A peaceful race, one that values nature and harmony. They are constantly terraforming barren, rocky planets into beautiful paradises. One thousand years ago, they had a war with the Humans, but relations have improved since then. Their border with the Aurians has been devastated in the war, and they seek to stop the Aurian expansion any further. They have pointed plates as an exoskeleton. Their faces have mandibles, antennae, and compound eyes. Most of them wear yellow or white cloaks. Their society has four ranks; civilian, warrior, minor queen (Ambassador), and high queen. Only one high queen lives at a time, in the Court of the Sun on their homeworld.
- Aurian; A warrior race, focused on conquest. They hold honor and duty as the most important virtues, and seek glory in battle. They only developed faster than light travel three hundred years ago, but have conquered so many planets since they cannot be ignored. At this conference, they hope to eliminate any chance of Likrath resistance. They are hunchbacked, with smooth, deep red skin that is often terribly scarred. They have bony horns on their neck and face. They usually only wear a belt and shorts, but wear up to full suits of armor in combat. This armor is proven to be resistant to most weapons.
- Errite; A race of symbiotic philosophers, they were the most powerful race in the galaxy ten thousand years ago, but have since declined to three planets. They tried to raise themselves up again as allies of the Humans, but fell with the Humans too. They appear human, but with markings on the side of their faces, and long hair. The symbiotes, tiny worms, live inside of them. They have up to 30,000 years of experience.
- If you want, you can create your own race, but give some backstory. I will add them here.

Appearance (Pictures can be useful, but are not necessary.);Gray aging hair. A wise wrinkled face. Thin late 70's man. Wears a simple forest green robe with matching green cape. Cybernetic arm after a military accident.
Backstory: Davian white was born to a poor english family on earth. When he was about twenty they moved to a planet that had only been colonized for about fourty years. It was a class A Planet meaning it was almost perfect for humanoid life. Davian spent many happy years their as his parents grew rich on the fire snap crop, a very spice sort of pepper native to the planet,. Then the aurians raided human territory and rained fire down on the planet. Davian managed to escape the planet in an escape pod but his family wasn't so lucky. Fueled by an intense hatred of aurians he joined the military and spent nearly the entire 34 years of the war defending against the aurians. He lost his arm in the war and retired from duty in order to get a cybernetic arm. after some years in peace his hatred subsided a small amount. He then decided to become an ambassador to try and promote peace and harmony. His earlier career reputation served him well and he skyrocketed through the goverment ranks until the council of leaders on earth appointed him ambassador for a series of peace talks with the various species involved in the war...

Backstory:
Damon was born a knight, most are. His parents were both knights, though his mother died while he was in his early teens he father managed to hide his sorrow and teach his son all the things a Knight needs to know, such as honour and loyalty. Damon grew up a fine Knight and was often dispatched to deal with the Aurian raids. As a born Knight it wasn't long before he was leading a team of Squires and, when he became an official Knight and was no longer a Squire himself the Likrath authorities hired his Team, and a number of other Red Dragon Teams, to help them fight the Aurians. His team were in nearly every battle, on the front or 'around the side'. They were there. Officially, of course, they do not belong to any of the different sides. They were often called greedy, heartless merc's with nothing but blood lust, even by the men they were protecting. But since the Knights had no Aurian soldiers and was created before humanity had discovered space travel they had an interest in this war. After some months fighting, just before the conference was announced, his contract ran out and he was given a new one, he was to look after the Human ambassador and was stationed upon the Windfall.

The Knights of the Red Dragon are a force of 'soldiers for hire' a sort of official Mercenary force, that once Had its own Kingdom on earth and now has its own Solar system and Planet sized Space Station, where the Military forces are often stationed. While the Knights own their own land they are not considered a nation or culture as they are looked down upon all, even those who use their aid. All 'Knights' are Given a sword and a C65, nick named the Suicide-Rod by soldiers, a C65 is a powerful railgun like weapon that fires one single Rod of compressed steel alloy that can rip though 18ft of Solid stone, its draw back is that it only fires one charge and uses up nearly all of a Knights 'Armour's Energy, leaving them extremely vulnerable as their suit is next to useless without power and most of their other weapons also cease to function due to a powerful, contained electromagnetic burst it releases due to the strength of the weapon. Knights are also given different weapons based on their role and rank. Knights believe in the old Code of Chivalry and Honour and will only fight against a worthy foe, or a deserving one. Damon's Team consists of one Netranian Sniper, a Human Assault, a Likrath Assault and a Human support, as well as Damon. (I hope my Idea of the Knights is an OK one and would also like to welcome you to the RP Community with such a good first RP. I also wish to apologise for the short Backstory)

Yes! I didn't make this clear, but things will happen. The politics will occur infrequently, and probably only when a major plot event occurs.

Ilas-Ru was born on the capitol planet of the Netran Empire to a wealthy family of respected scientists. He had a very isolated childhood spending most of it with private tutors and constantly studying. As a child he was very bright. Of course, he had been designed to be bright. Genetically modified to be the perfect scientist and the perfect Netranian citizen. He graduated with top marks and became a researcher skilled in the fields of quantum physics, physics, and astronomy. He lost his right arm in a tragic laboratory incident in which he was the sole survivor that left him scarred physically and emotionally.When he replaced his arm, he discovered his efficiency had increased twofold and eventually got optical and cerebral implants, not to mention minor implants throughout his body. Since a young age, Ilas-Ru was fascinated by the stars and the vastness of space and decided to pack up his research and leaving his laboratory to his assistants joined the Netran Ambassadorial Service. He was just as dedicated to diplomacy as he was to science, leading to notice from his superiors in the Netran government. It was amid the Likrath-Aurian war that he was appointed Council Ambassador for the Netran Empire, he graciously accepted this position. He is hopeful for the signing of the treaty even though the scientific side of him is doubtful anything signed with hold considering the Aurian's past and culture.
