"Nope," said Joey as he cuffed the Official's hands together and shot his foot. "Not going anywhere today... we have some questions."
Agent Vinod's eyelids started closing, he heard a voice. It was his radio! Another FDIB agent had been contacting him. He tried kicking Joey right in the crotch, to stun him so he could call for backup. Whatever was left of it, that was.
Joey saw a target on his visor. It was green, indicating a person of interest. Agent Vinod. He pressed a button on his headset.
"Bugly HQ, this is Agent BentEye requesting a Protocol Loading Cloth. Yes, I know I can't do much with it... no, I don't have the Life/crash Protocol yet..."(this was true- he had the Beta)"No, I did not lose my copy of the Sleeping Protocol. What? Why do you care! Just send it in... thank you."
He loaded the Sleeping Protocol into the special cloth just as he walked up behind Agent Vinod. Before, the precursor Bugly agents would use chemicals on rags. They had the same effect, so poisoning the poor sap would be useless. Besides- he needs him alive. That's why he saved him in the tower.
He had questions. Vinod had answers.
"Hello, my name is Joey, I just saved you from Malware Agents who are probably just remembering who they are and who they came for now. I suggest you come with me- either quietly, or with other means. You may decide..."
He put the cloth to Agent Vinod's face.
"After you are tied up, of course. We don't want me hurt, now, do we?"

Agent Vinod got up as he heard a loud crash "I'm up!" he yelled as he saw mangled corpses of the Rebels. "That works I guess." he yawned and stretched "Well, I had a nice nap." he said jokingly. He leaped out the hole in the wall and started to walk back into the city.
Joey ran out the door just a a screen appeared from his Life/network.
"Breaking news," said the reporter onscreen. "A pipe bomb has been detonated at the FDIB building. There have been several casualties and hundreds of injuries... what?! This just in, Malware Agents have been seen on security footage placing the bomb in the building. They have taken a hostage, identified as Agent Vinod..."
The screen disappeared. Joey started running faster toward the nearest Data Assembly Center. He then quickly inserted the Life/crash Beta Protocol disc. He entered the keyword.
The whole city block flashed and stopped.
Confused citizens stared blankly ahead of them. He thought this would happen- no. He was afraid this would happen...
He loaded the Bugly:P Armor and Weapons Protocol Disc as well. He put on the armor and selected the Protocol Specifier and Reversal Rifle as his weapon. Into the slot, he loaded the Life/crash Beta.
"Digitally," he said, and shot at the FDIB building.
At least five floors should have gone dark... instead, only a crater in the building.
"You're welcome, Vinod," he said to himself as the shops lit up around him and the citizens remembered who they were. "Just remember me, okay?"
The screen reappeared. A bird's-eye-view of the crater showed only darkness- and the red logo of Bugly:P, small in the direct impact center.
"...okay?"

Tick...Tock...Tick...Tock
Was heard throughout the building. Every clock was turned off, Agent Vinod was the one who knew. "PIPE BOMB! PEOPLE EVACUATE!" he yelled a second before the wall blew open. Vinod coughed up some blood, he was near the blast. He got back up as Data-Armed Hackers walked through the hole in the wall. Vinod's weapon was all the way behind his desk. The Malware Agents/Hackers had already had a gun pointed to Vinod's head. "I surrender." he said. The Hackers pinned him to the wall and checked him for weapons. He was clean. Vinod waited a minute for all the hackers to face away from him. He then turned around and kicked one in the back of the head, he choked the other and was then knocked out by the last one.

He laughed at the bitter irony. At least he never got his data destroyed by the Malware Agent he knew was in the room. However, he failed to take into account the fact that his own design of MemoryChips were removable at the time of death.... Oh well. He doesn't know the keyword to activate the Life/crash Protocol. Only someone with no MemoryChip would be allowed to know that. And MemoryChips came five years before he did...
At least... he thought as a final regard. Nobody will find him...
We're all counting on you now....
He had no more thoughts on his MemoryChip."
The lawyer removed the Chip from Joey Aeris' TV. He couldn't believe it...
His father was dead, and he knew the keyword...
"Digitally..."
"What?" Asked the lawyer who hadn't left. Joey didn't notice. He was looking at the Protocol Disk in an old CD case.
It had just responded to its keyword.
(( Your move, Official. ))

Son. I'll miss you... protect the keyword...
And live... your life....

(( Heh. My character is considered annoying. Oh well, buisness as usual I guess :3 I wanna see where this is going. Go on :3 ))
President Aeris looked out from the top of the Live/life building. He could see the crosshairs on his chest.
They were all too easy to see.
The briefcase on his desk was filled with the money that meant nothing. He knew they were going to get the Life/crash Protocol one way or another. He only ever made it as a worse-case scenario back door, just in case all of the data in the world couldn't save the people. It would wipe all of their memories...
"So," he said. "The FDIB, eh? I've met one of your agents... Agent... Vinod, was it? Yes, he called in with a complaint that we didn't supply ammo for regular firearms anymore. I told him that Live/life's Data-arms worked better, especially while hunting for Bugly:P's. He said that he was raised with the classics, so I spared him some ammo... I hope he liked it. Anyway, I don't want your money. The Life/crash Protocol... it's too dangerous. So, if you want it..." He saw the crosshairs turn green. He made the gun; he knew how it worked.
He held the Life/crash Protocol DataDisk up to his chest as the sniper pulled the trigger.
"Come and get it..."

Agent Vinod sat behind the monitor typing this all down. He yawned as he finished the sentence. "God. It's boring around here." he tried not to fall asleep. And he didn't, he got up and decided he needed a good cup of coffee.
