That's a pretty basic web browser, but I guess you're new to VB.NET or C#.

It's fairly simple code, what is the point of that?

It seems you're new to programmin in VB.NET. Welcome! Now let me tell you that .NET framework is open source and I could get the code if I'd like to. But here, (no offense) I can guess it.

.NET isn't open source. Everybody seems to be mistaking open source with easily de-obfuscated.

There is a .NET Reference Framework, which is a large portion of the .NET Frameworks' internal code, but it is not open source, it is available under a reference-only license (meaning the code cannot be legally copy/pasted or used, it can only be used for reference material).

.NET Framework compiled assemblies (C#, C++/CLI & VB.NET compile to the CLI - Common Language Infrastructure) produce bytecode that is semi-human-readable, and as such it is easily decompiled back into any of the three languages.

There isn't really any sense in making a "closed source" .NET program unless you have something to hide. That's the big thing, especially if you're going to release a program to a community that gets viruses posted every day.

Hackers can't "do" anything to your program, so there is no issue with it being open source. Just pick a license that best suits your program (and make sure to abide by any licenses of third party libraries you use) and everything will be fine.

By default, .NET framework is open-source. There are many decompilers out there such as .NET Reflector. You cant hide your code, anyone who wants to see it can.

It's drag on drop code. I think the point of that is because he didn't know how to do it the other way?

Ah, thanks. Yes, I remember I started visual basic with something very similar. The internet explorer elements with custom controls. Its a cool feeling making it, but there really is no point, as it is basically internet explorer but with less functions. Very good job though, atleast a few people on here are tackling programming

Internet explorer but with custom toggle buttons? I don't actually know, but I'm guessing. i'm on a mac, so I'll have to run it in x11. Post pictures for us who can't download please! But seriously, is it just internet explorer with buttons? I know visual basic, and when people make browsers in it, thats what they usually are.
