Anyone else excited for Pokemon Omega Ruby Alpha Sapphire?

So, I decided to make a discussion about Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire. What things are you hoping for? Are you happy about this? Which game? Which starter?
It may not sound like it, but I'm am PSYCHED for this game to come out! I already have half of my team planned, and currently thinking of more pokemon to add to it.

I'm picking Torchic, buying Sapphire, first pokemon to catch: Zigzagoon.
I was thinking of picking Torchic, but since I had him in X/Y, picking Treecko. I'm also getting Sapphire!
Getting Sapphire, getting Mudkip as my starter because his mega is amazing! Going to catch a Sabeleye on my first play through so I'll have an another amazing mega to play with. I'll get into all the complex stuff in the Nintendo club though.
I thought Mudkip's mega was cool too! Also, Sableye is going to be one of the people on my team!

Well, They wouldn't make these one the DS anymore. From What I know the capabilities of a DS game is inferior of a 3DS game, and also, it's an 8 year old handheld. I'm sorry, It must be rough for some since they don't have a parent to buy some pricey stuff like a 3DS for them as a birthday/Christmas gift anymore. Also, what's with the "can't afford" talk? You have a computer, a 3ds is really only $170, no need for emulators.
So yes, Getting Alpha sapphire since Ruby is my first game. Choosing Treeko since I chose Mudkip on Ruby and Torchic on Emerald, so, why not.
Really excited to see places like route 113 in 3D, and I really want to hear the remade soundtrack!

I'm getting Ruby, since I had Sapphire as a small child. Picking Treecko as I've never picked him before.

Well, at least it's in the Gaming group and not Server Recruitment.
I would get Alpha Sapphire for Kyogre because Kyogre is awesome (he has equal stats as Groudon but water type has less weaknesses than ground, look it up). But I already have Kyogre on X, and I'll probably transfer it over, so I'll probably end up getting Omega Ruby since I already have Kyogre. I would choose Mudkip as my starter. I first got into Pokemon when the third generation came out, and Mudkip was my starter then, so Mudkip is special to me .
I can see why Mudkip is special, and I also like water types too, Kyogre>Groudon
I might end up getting both, as my brother fell out of pokemon and we always got games opposite to each other. He got Y and I got X, but he hasn't touched it since a few weeks after release. My older brother got me Sapphire at a flea market randomly one day, I think it was my first or second game of pokemon ever, so it was worth a lot to me. I chose Torchic and spelled my name wrong. Then I was at the Elite Four with Kyogre level 60 or something and Blaziken level 55, nothing else and lost it. Last year my mom found it in a jacket she hadn't worn for awhile, and it turns out I lost it at my grandmas, she found it a few weeks later and gave it to my mom who put it in the inside pocket of her jacket, forgot to give it to me, and then only LAST YEAR gave it to me. I think I lost it again though. ( I lost it in like 2008 or something )
That sucks. At least they're making remakes and you might be able to relate to your old Sapphire!
That or just find it again. Thats the second time I lost it, after I spent an hour ramming the elite for and getting Kyogre and Blaziken to something like level 68 and level 61.I just moved so its probably here somewhere.
I plan on getting both, but I definitely want Omega Ruby first because Ruby version was my first ever mainstream (or whatever the term is) Pokemon game. I'm most likely going to choose Mudkip (I love water type Pokemon). All I'm hoping for is that both games have similar features to X/Y and maybe some new additions. I hope they put the Pokemon contests that were in the original games back in (I liked doing competitions). And yes… I am very happy about this!
Sapphire, and Treecko, because I did my Emerlad Nuzlocke with Treecko, and Mega Sceptile is going to suck. I mean, Lightningrod? Seriously? You 4x resist it... And Grass/Dragon is awful typing. Also, Mega Blaziken is OP. I want a good challenge.
I'm probably going to get Ruby, and this is the game I am buying a 3Ds for.
Starter wise I will probably go for a torchic in memory of my first every pokemon, and his name shall be pyro, in memory of the original.

I was thinking of having an Absol, but I already have a dark type. We'll see if I'm going to have enough Pokemon of different types on my team though.

Uhm, HELL YEAH I AM O.o I like everything about the game, but I'm most hoping for max customization of the secret bases. I'm playing the game just like how I did when I first played, not planing anything.

it disgust's me when armatures that know nothing about pokemon make threads like this. The new games are horrible. Quit them, destroy them. Go buy pokemon Red. And a Gameboy color. Then play that. These new games destroyed pokemon.

I will defend Unova to the death, and every other "new game". They've only made the series better. And who are you calling amateurs? What's your ranking on Pokemon Showdown? Did you ever EV or IV train anything? Do you know what tiers are? Priority? STAB? There are some amazing Pokemon battlers on this site. You can't just come in and think we're awful. I could prove you wrong in 6 turns.

Okay.... let me start out this wall of text by saying that the games we're talking about are remakes of the 3rd generation. The 3rd generation of Pokemon came out in 2002-2003. This is more than ten years ago. So, I would say that the games are pretty old. I would also like to point out a couple of things I explain to almost every one-genner I have ever seen. The first gen games, are on the same level of the first ones, if not worse.
First reason for that is obvious glitches that appeared in the first gen. There are whole websites dedicated to this sort of thing, and you don't need a cheat device to play any of them.
Two: misguided unoriginality. Let's look at Voltorb, shall we? He's a nice looking Pokemon, you'd say. That is until you realize he's a literal Pokeball with a face. Imagine if a Pokemon like that came out for Pokemon Y. Can you hear the uproars from people? There's also magikarp, who is an obvious generic fish.
Three: Pre-judgement. When viewing the new generation games, people already have pre concieved notions that they're bad just because they're a main Pokemon game. For this, I'd like to look at a little game called Pokemon Black. This game, by far, has the best storyline of any Pokemon game I've ever played (and I've played every single generation... just look at my profile you can tell I'm obsessed with the series). Ghestis was a perfect antagonist, and switching N's role was amazing. This was a story that effected me emotionally and made me actually care for the characters, and the best part is, the game was generation 5.
Now... I know that I might be "feeding the troll" but people like this really bother me. They're the bane of the Pokemon fanbase. Sorry for getting off topic too >w<

I honestly don't give a crap about spelling usage. And "The pokemon club" Well guys what. I own along with 3 other people one of the biggest pokemon '"clans" or "clubs" In the world, and I bet I know far more information about the new games than you. I get the new nintendo magazines for crying sake. I have stayed with the games up until it started to get horrible when black and white came out. You sir are obviously not a true pokemon fan if you prefer that piece of junk than The original regions. Go ahead. Protect unova. Just know that about 30k people got me behind my back on this one.
I am both excited and dissapointed due to swampert's mega evolution. The model is horrible.

Sweetheart, I have (almost) the entirety of Smogon that will defend the newer generations. I've read every Serebii page, studied every minuscule detail of the games (except DPP, I hate those), and trained multiple teams of Pokemon across almost all the generations. I'm not an idiot. Besides, this is the wrong place to discuss this. I'll try and get back on track by throwing a question out there:

I love the new games but I have to admit, b/w b2/w2 were pretty bad
After just starting to play Pokemon: Emerald (first pokemon game I've ever played), the new ones seem exciting. It looks weird to me, though, since it's all 3D, and all I've seen is the pixelated one xD
