Overclocking improves performance. It would make the computer insanely better but it does give a decent boost.

Edit: didn't see the updated build 57. The extreme4 is a much better motherboard than that gigabyte one.
@57 OP said they don't have a microcenter but you included it in the price. You can try and get a price match from Staples though. Also, I'd grab a 600 or high watt PSU to give some headroom for upgrades. Overclocking will cause the build to use more than the estimated wattage. Also, the extreme4 seems same/better quality than that mobo for cheaper. The extreme4 has better audio and pretty much matches it in other features.

Anyways, a non-overclocking build. Don't know if an i7 is really need. Depends on how intense the editing/rendering is that you will be doing.

57r4dIt's always good to have the parts necessary to overclock if you're not sure. It's a good way to get more performance out of your computer. You also won't want windows on both sides ( I don't even think there are cases like that.) As for LED's, I picked a motherboard that would match them and you could find some cold cathodes.

You could decrease the price by buying a cheaper case and RAM, but they're very high quality.

That looks great! I forgot to ask though, I wanted a dvd player for if I watched a movie or loaded a disk software. Although you can get a external one can't you? (Sorry if I'm being kind of noobish.)

I won't be providing a build because it probably wouldn't be the best you could get, however I don't think you'll get a case with glass on both sides as well as it's pointless, you'll just see a lot of wires on the other side.
