[HELP] PC Upgrade
Hello all. I'm currently looking to upgrade my PC, and thought you guys would be the best to turn to!
What is this computer going to be used for?
Intensive gaming, heavy graphic rendering, and more.
What is your budget?
I'm going to go with around $1000 AUD, give or take a bit, but at max $2000.
Where do you live? If in the US, do you have a nearby Microcenter?
Perth, Australia. I live near a computing business PLE, and would prefer to source components from their if possible.
What is included in the budget?
Anything, and everything needed to upgrade from your suggestions.
Will you be overclocking?
Possibly, as I have an unlocked CPU that could be taken advantage of.
Will you be reusing any parts?
Most likely the hard drive, CPU, PSU, RAM and more.
What OS do you want?
Already have a copy of 8,1
Any specific case preferences?
None, but would like to transfer.
Any other special features that you want in the build?
Possibly an SSD.

MOBO: ASRock Z77 Pro3 LGA1155 ATX Mobo
RAM: G.Skill 8GB Kit (2x4GB) DDR3 Ripjawz x C9 @ 1600Mhz
HDD: Seagate Barracuda 1TB @ 7200RPM hard drive
GPU: EVGA GeForce GTX660 2GB
PSU: XFX Core Edition 650W 80Plus Bronze PSU
DISK DRIVE: Some random junky juan
CASE: Thermaltake V4 Black Edition (want to change)
Note: If possible, use the PLE computers website, even if slightly over-priced as I cannot order from overseas etc. and would much prefer to help the local business sustain. Looking to mainly upgrade GPU, and whatever else seems fit in budget.

You could always just grab a new case and a GTX 970 or 980. That'd be cheaper, but you might as well upgrade your CPU (and mobo) as well since you can afford it.
If you don't want to replace your CPU and mobo and you get a 980, you will also want to invest in a good CPU cooler (like a Corsair H series liquid cooler or a Noctua air cooler) so you can overclock to prevent any chance of a CPU bottleneck.

This build upgrades your CPU, GPU, and CPU cooler. As a result of the CPU change, though, I had to include a new motherboard.
I went mATX because it's nice and compact.

If you want an SSD, you can add one in if you want. I'm not sold on SSDs yet because they're still pretty pricey, but if you want one, I suggest getting an M.2 SSD. The motherboard supports it and M.2 SSDs are insanely fast (up to 10 Gbps).

Just get an SSD and a 970
Or with your budget a 980.

I don't think he'd be able to fit a 980 in there...
Edit: My bad, he can maybe extend it to $2,000, and he's upgrading it instead of building a completely new one.
