"Building" a computer V2!

Get this RAM. It is slightly faster than the one you had previously selected, and your motherboard only supports up to DDR3-1866MHz. The extra speed on the one you had previously would be wasted, and this RAM is faster than it out of the box anyways.

Also, for the same price as that one, you could get a better PSU, such as this one. It's got pretty good reviews, and Jonnyguru gave the 730w version of the PSU a pretty good review, only seriously marking it down on value. The only problem is it's very expensive at purchase, but it has a huge rebate to bring the price down. It's up to you whether or not to get it.

If you really need to get all of it from Newegg, I would recommend using this set of parts to do it. I assumed you had a $400 budget judging by the parts you were using.



Now, if you didn't have to use Newegg, I would recommend some different hardware.



That build is better than the first one in a number of ways.
First of all, we've gone Intel. The G3220 is a very nice CPU, and although it's only a dual-core, it's got great single-threaded performance. A lot of games can still only utilize 2 cores, so the G3220 will perform as well or better than the FX-6300. The motherboard will also have support for Broadwell (Intel's 5th-generation CPUs that have yet to come out), and that means that you can upgrade to an i5 or similar CPU when they come out. Unfortunately, the RAM is going to have to downclock, but it may have a lower CAS latency when it does which still keeps it very fast. The graphics card is two steps above the one you were originally getting as well, which is nice too.
