I would like to knock off about $50. Tell me what you think and on how I can improve it! I need the case though :3

Yes but the cost of the 500W psu is the same as the 600w psu. It's by corsair and that is the only brand I get my psu's from :3

Buttsauce
This is some Olympics-level mental gymnastics you have there, you know.
Indeed.
I think the OP can get away with a 500 W PSU for now. The current setup runs at under 300 W.

Maybe try lowering your processing power.
Unless you intend on rendering, and processing heavy loads.
A super processor is not necessary, however.
If you plan on having a gaming rig, you can drop about 100 off the cpu, and drop 50 into the gpu if it suits your fancy.
Corsair is very expensive ram, good, but expensive.
You may be able to drop it down from corsair to, a more generic brand and possibly even get more ram for less.
Feel free to ignore this.

Money... Tight budget.
Money is stopping you from using something free and legal?
Yes. Bottom line is, I simply can't afford windows yet.
This is not up for discussion anymore.

NEVER buy a Raidmax power supply, unless you want your computer to die. There's a reason they're so cheap.
1
Why would I need this? I have better parts in my build.
BTW: I don't trust raid max. My friend had their PSW and his house almost caught on fire.

Oh yea sorry i forgot to mention I have a couple HDD's laying around. Same with the OS well for the os hint: YARGGGHHHH
1
Yeah, don't pirate the OS. If you want something free and simple use Ubuntu until you can save up for a real copy of Windows.
1
Too late. I'm 13 I had to sell almost everything in my room for this computer, i'm not going to waste my money on Windows 8.1 which is $100. I have Windows 8.1 on EVERY computer in my house. The only reason I can't get it legit is cause i'm broke. But eventually I will once I get my working papers when i'm 14 and get a job Why? Cause I love Microsoft and support it in every way. I am just to broke.

So what's stopping you from using a free (and legal) OS until you can afford Windows?

I don't think you understand what I'm trying to say. Use a free (and legal) OS, like Ubuntu, until you can afford Windows.

... You don't have any storage devices (Hard drives or SSDs) Can't make a PC without one
1
How did I not see that
1
Never mind I switch to fractical design :3
1
You should also take a look at the H440 from NZXT
1
Updated to a 760 I read some reviews ;P
1
Well I would like a nice sleek looking case I think I might go with the NZXT phantom
1
I'm using the Phantom 410, and the only cons I can think of, is that the hole for the 8 pin cpu power is very small and it requires some force to get through, and that the grommets are very loose, but I didn't worry about those because it looks the same with them out.
1
Im just getting the original one
1
I would go with what the first commentor said, I think you would be happier in the long term, and you would get better performance going with an EVGA GTX 760
1
That case is expensive for the perks it has. I don't have any suggestions off the top of my head, sorry, but I would look for a different one.
1
Just to tell you, but a $50 computer isn't that good at running games and applications. It's mostly just a basic computer
1
I'm sorry what? You either made a spelling mistake or, just your grammar is bad.
1
I think he/she meant they want to knock the price down about 50$ not get it down to $50.
1
There isn't a lot of point getting an overclockable CPU if it won't be able to run OC'd anyway. You'd need a CPU cooler.
1
I am not going to over clock until i get one but right now i can't afford one
1
bump

Since you're getting an Intel processor, why not substitute the AMD GPU with an NVIDIA GTX 660 or better? Then you can stream games to an NVIDIA Shield if you ever get one.
GTX 660s go for a little under $200. I have one and it works great. A 760 (if you can afford it) should run better though.
