Why don't they make every computer the same, and more like consoles. All Xboxs and PS4s have all the same CPU, GPU, ETC. Why does the PC market have to make so confusing? Hundreds of graphics cards to choose from, Multiple brands of RAM, Dual Core, Quad Core CPU? Why don't they make every PC the same?

Why don't they make humans the same? That is basically the question you are asking. Where there is a buyer, there is a company and the many products it makes. Every company wants to make a lot of money, so they try to innovate and improve their item. That is why there are so many different computer companies.

Because PCs are meant for everything from work to games to watching netflix, or all three at once since you can do that on PCs. PCs are customizable for whatever you need to do and that is one of the many reasons why pc is better than consoles (which are just PC rip-offs). It's not confusing if you put a little time and effort into researching what those terms mean.

Because, all it is is a mitx computer with an APU in it, with a limited OS, and major DRM's (Note some where taken off, but still it was meant to be there). It's a PC rip off for the ignorant people.
Because with PC's, you don't judge how good a product is by the price, unlike prebuilts and everything else. You judge it by benchmarks. You look up benchmarks for each product and compare them. You can also tell by the name and all which cards are for gaming, and which games are for computing, and which cards are for developing. The Quadro cards are not gaming cards, they are packed full of CUDA cores, which help with computing, editing, developing.

a console is basically a small computer, the technology is very underpowered compared to a regular computer, just because it doesn't do the same things doesn't mean anything. you can actually see videos of people reprograming ps3's or xboxs and installing windows on them.
