Just a warning, unless you know a good amount of stuff about computers most of this won't make any sense...

So, I currently have a pretty decent computer (in my opinion atleast). But being the average american that I am, i want it to be better ( ). So anyways, here's what I am considering....

First Option:
Buy another GTX 660 and SLI them
Upgrade FX 4350 to a 8350.

Second Option:
Buy a GTX 670 or GTX 760 or GTX 770 and run dual monitors
Upgrade FX 4350 to a 8350

The logical answer would be the first one if it wasn't for one thing, java doesn't support SLI.

My current build (i guess it would have been helpful to but this at the top):
Corsair 300R
Corsair GS800
Asus M5A99FX R2.0
AMD FX 4350 Quad Core at 4.2GHz
16GB of Corsair Vengeance at 1600mhz (don't ask why i have alot of ram)
Seagate Barracuda 1TB HDD
thats pretty much it.

Ok, I think the 7970 would suite my needs better than the 280X. Is there benefits for using an AMD cpu and gpu together?

I would say go for a R9 280X or 7970.They both will have similar performance.

I have a Radeon 7870 and it is amazing, and low cost. Any of the 79xx series is great. And I also have that 8350 CPU, it is amazing, 100% recommend it

Get the 770. It is better to have one strong card than two medium power ones. You are going to play games other than minecraft, right?
