So I've been looking around the internet for an interesting idea for a PC. I've looked into many, many things, but now I've decided I want to think outside the box.
So anyone here remember the PS2 Phat?

I want to take out the guts and components, and turn it into a PC.
I'm looking for disassembly tips, ways to fit in parts, specific motherboards I could use, and some tools to make screw holes in the case.
If at all possible, I would like to use the current existing PC parts I have:
Intel i3 3225 Processor
(2x)2GB DDR3 1333 Ram
I have seen a few people do this in the past, however I would like to build the machine to snug fit inside the PS2's case.
I understand that a video card probably will not fit inside. Intel HD 4000 integrated graphics (built into the i3 3225 processor) will do just fine.

Just took some measurements.
The lower part of the PS2 has a volume of 6.5" x 10.625". The upper section has a volume of 7" x 11.75".
Mini ITX motherboard size is 6.7"^2, which is slightly too long to fit in the lower section of the PS2. The only way for me to use my old computer parts in the PS2 build is to install the motherboard upside down, but that would surely block the disk drive section, in which I actually wanted to use.
The only way for me to perfectly fit components is to look for an embedded motherboard setup that is smaller than the Mini ITX size. (perhaps a Nano ITX)

Mmmm you might want to get a mini motherboard for that, I would say that it would cost fairly cheap, under 500 of course
Are you saying Mini ITX? or do I have to go smaller than that?
