I also can't get used to the ore dictionary thingy. Though from what I heard of it, it's really easy to use, my brain acts like

WUT

When I try to transfer my mod from ML to forge

I go with modloader! from my experience with a slow computer its much easier on my fps! and when i'm getting 20-30 on a regular basis I could use all the fps I can get. I've used forge and it spare's no expense to make your computer attempt suicide

Honestly, I'll have to go with Mod Loader, much more noob friendly API, not to mention most mods with mod loader work with both. Even though mod loader is an hour or so more on my mod, It seems to work better. My few encounters with forge caused me to be slightly confused (Probably because it a shorter, cleaner script then the mod loader I'm use to) Over all, I really like modloader for a few small differences,

Same, I originally edited base files, then recently moved to Modloader (When I started modding Forge hadn't been released or even been in development, and I never bothered with Modloader until recently, But it's pretty awesome). Forge does offer SMP support, however with the Mod A.P.I coming soon, I think I'll just stick with Modloader

Other thank that quite a few modloader mods work on forge and with forge mods. Forge has a few benefits so more modders are switching over. I got with forge becuase its what i program with
