Any ideas for a new FPS I am programming?

Ok, I can see what you're saying, and It's all true. But, I'm just saying that a hacker organization, meaning experienced computer hackers, have managed to break into government security and you happen to see them in the process. I'm not saying that they can just hack into government computers like that, and yea, it's a hacker organization so some of their people probably are working in the government and that's how they're able to access government data. Sorry If I wasn't clear.

Straight As? In just Geometry, or all classes? The wording of that sentence wasn't clear.
And being 13 still means you are a kid, no matter how deep your voice gets, nor how mature you become. You are still a kid.
Anywho, Im getting off topic. The problem with the ideas you made and added to is that they would be extremely hard to make a good game out of. A hacker organization appears out of nowhere inside a regular old school? Even my dog could see the plot holes in that. A briliant fucking writer would be needed to make that a good game.
Also, what barracades? If they started baracadeing my school, I'd be fucking nervous.
Scratch that, I'd probably sneak out a window and call the Police from a payphone.
Do you know the formula for area of a trapezoid? I can never seem to remember it, and it may very well be on tommorow's quiz.
Divide the trapezoid into two triangles and a square. I'm also in Geometry, but I'm a sixth grader. Straight A's.
As for the idea, try not setting it at school. It's a bit too unrealistic. Try setting it somewhere else. Maybe you walk by a certain buillding on your way home from work. The people inside seem to be doing something suspicious. Then you go investigate. A security guard sees you, and after much questioning and pleading innocent, he lets you go. "And remember, you know nothing about this." You try to sneak in at night, and the rest of your story continues.
Ok thanks everyone for the feedback. I was just trying to base my ideas on the ideas he had already gotten and what it sounded like he had already programmed. You are of course right about me still being a kid, but you should take a look at some of my other work. I put a lot of effort into what I do. And wow, 6th grade Geometry. I've always been a straight A student in all classes, and I wish I had gotten the chance to take algebra and Geometry that early. Oh well, I suppose not all schools offer the classes at the same time :I. Anyways, I'm sorry if I was rude. And by the way, what I mean by barricades is that after school in schools they often bar off hallways. I know that from going to sock hops and stuff. Plus, if the principle is a major hacker, he's going to have security in case someone figures out who he is. The school setting is based on the fact that he was already doing some school based stuff, including the fact that he programmed a pencil and ruler as weapons. Oh, and In a FPS game inside a school, It Cannot have any kids in it, or else he'd get his butt sued off. And I'm not saying the whole game would take place in the school. Just the first mission. It could end up with you chasing this guy all over the country.
Thing is, people think that all hackers are geniuses who can breaking into the governments computer related things within seconds, with nothing but a laptop.
This is not true. Most "hackers" arent computer nerds; on the contrary.
They charm thier way into whatever group they may be hacking (this can take years). When people trust them enough, they abuse thier trust and fuck shit up. Either that, or they already work for that group, but are very pissed off about something and want to prove a point.
You have to be a really damn good actor to pull that off.
Watch out for Hacktors!

THANK YOU!
Wasnt on the quiz though. Well, it was the bonus.
Thank you.
Keep getting those A's.
As for the idea, that's what I was trying to say. The idea couldn't happen in real life! A realistic game isnt realistic if it cant happen, and it looks like this is geared towards being realistic.

Add customization,if you could, alot of people appreciate it and yeah it would be a cool idea to combine weapons like a paddle and a chainsaw to make a awesome weapon, or simpler things, kind of like DeadRising but don't copy exactly

Yup, there's a game called Zombie Playground, that successfully went through Kickstarter.

Hmmm.. .Okay, we have a not-gun-nut civilian, civil war happening in his country, he gets to either fight for the rebels, or fight against the rebels, since both parties saw his crafting skills maybe.
Three of your friends are sheltered by the government, but it so happened that, prior to the rebellion, his love interest is actually one of the rebels.

Geez I'm Thirteen and a straight A student 8th grader in Geometry at that. So shut up. I tried to base my ideas off of the ideas he had already gotten. Besides, what's so childish about it. It would make the game difficult and exciting because 1. It has a storyline that's not either apocalyptic or based on a war, unlike most fps games. And 2. A first area with armed enemies would be difficult and require some actual thought unlike most fps games considering your best weapon at the time might be a knife and thumbtacks. Oh, and at least I put some detail into my posts unlike most people. The barricades could actually be like the ones they put in the halls after school hours, along with locked doors of course. And seriously dude, it's really annoying when you insult somebody's idea without saying why you don't like it.

Then some epic music plays when you take a guard down...or assasinate
A stealth game. You are a spy and you try to distract enemies by doing things like shutting down the lights, or making a distracting dripping noise like in the movie Ghost Protocol.
i can see how we can fit that in somehow you could be seaking through the schoolls air ducts and you have to find something to distract someone guarding to get past. this could be more logical side of the game.
But another idea, if i may, maybe you can add money picked up from teachers desks and lockers to buy items from shady kids in hood selling items in bathrooms, janitors rooms, back of school, etc..
-_- this is help for lui and his FPs not for you two to bicker.

make an inventory slot and have your favorite creations saveable and upgradeable! and also give them stats like speed, damage, and durability. its a lot of coding, but i think it'll make the game better to players like myself that enjoy those little types of things.
I have a good idea how bout it's free to play you'll get a heck of a lot more players
Just try making the basic weapon first and then add more features as you go along! make sure you set small goals that lead into bigger ones! It helps when your making a big project! will this be 3d or 2d??
3D
Agree with Hatsya, You should be able to craft a weapon out of anything. Rulers, bats, Metal Beams, etc. It'd be cool if you were a civilian caught in the midst of a war destroying your homeland. It definitely needs to be subarctic, makes it cooler. (haha) But Hatsya is very, very intelligent about the ideas for the game. Post nuclear trauma, second ice age, civilians fighting for their freedom. This will equal awesome!!!!!

I said Fallout like setting. Can't tell if you're mocking me thinking that it would be in violation of a trademark law, or are sincerely in favor of my idea.
Nah, I actually do like your idea. When done just right, post apocalyptic games can be freaking amazing.
When done wrong though... *cough Borderlands Cough cough*
During a nuclear war, your country has recruited you, along with several other people, to be trained as super soldiers to defend your country in the war against a similar legion of super soldiers invading your country.

How about this for a story line:
You are a former veteran who lived in America in its glory days. Yet now, America has fallen into an economic crisis, the government has failed, and it becomes like a Fallout setting where all is up for grabs. Your job is gather a team of whatever kind of scavengers you can find, and either conquer America and make it into a Communist government, or help America become restored back to its glory days as a free country.
Obviously, anything you see is a weapon, and anything you want is yours but at the price of lives. There could probably be a karma meter where as helping citizens, and being kind in attempt to move America past its struggles to a better time, or become an evil dictator killing citizens, and forcing people to work for you. Thoughts?

Hmm, I would love another freerunning game :3 Kind of one that you can use anything for a weapon. Pewdiepie would love it ;-;
Anyways, yeah. Parkour/freerunning...anything a weapon...yeah, I'm idealess xD

Based on the ideas so far, here are my story ideas:
So, the background would be that you're a teacher at a high school, and you've discovered plans that the principle of the school is really a major leader of a hacker organization which plans to hack the government computers, and start a hostile takeover of the country. So, in the first mission, you have to first make your way to the principles office, and there are barricades which you will need to find and build tools in order to destroy. You enter the principles office, which is dark, and using your flashlight you discover the guards and so you need to kill them, which is hard considering you don't have a gun yet. Then you hack the computer, and the alarm sounds. Now, the school fills will security agents from the hacker corporation and you need to go to the basement and find the explosives, then set the bomb, then you have a countdown to escape the building. This would conclude the first mission. I hope you like my ideas, and I'll be sure to be back with more.

if it is on a school so want i to know what kind of school (elementary, etc..) i got some ideas if it is for crafting veapons and tools for getting trough the game,
Don't forget about character development. It's the reason why so many FPS games fail, because the audience doesn't sympathize when someone dies. It's why so many people downplayed MW3's campaign, because of how the effect of Metal team dying wasn't was strong as the death of Roach and possibly Ghost, whom people wanted to come back.
Also, make sure to have plenty of easter eggs in a game, the more, the funner

May I ask what language this is going to be programmed in and how much knowledge you have in the language. This may give me more of an idea of how in depth the game could potentially be!
Im doing this with a game engine. I know Java Script and c#
You could make that the player wakes up in the start of a game in an unknown place. (This could be a mix of woods, village or something.) You start waking around and then you'll find a chest with a weapon inside. Since this point, you become chased by a demon. When you shot at the demon, it will vanish - but not die - you need to hit it multiple times to kill it. If it gets to close you'll lose (you could use slenderman for that =D)
The Landscape could look like that: http://www.rebelgamer.de/tag/slender-rising

Make it that kind of game where the player disides what happens, so he can accomplish the tasks hes own way! hope you can use it

Sounds like an awesome project! Can i please be a beta tester? If i can please PM me
Hope this one's minus-the-zombies shooter. Note that the hero here isn't a gun nut.
Other supporting stuff for this McGyver-Jr character:
He has cosplayer friends prior rebellion, based on their craftmanship, he is inspired to pull off stuff from everyday items, hence capable of weaponizing any stuff

Hm, this combining and "everything's a weapon" thing sounds a hell of a lot like Dead Rising to me.
also are you looking for beta testers for the game?
you should make it so you can combine things that you find to upgrade weapons such as if you find plank then you find some nails then combine that and youll get a a plank with sharp nails to peirce the skin.
Just thought of this...
He should be able to do this first, it is called "sumpak", an improvised pistol popularized by Filipino gangs in my homeland. Pic here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/mach_kalas ... 210614163/
T-square as Pickaxe.
Fork-tipped melee weapon?
Seems that what I'm suggesting here is something to do with Zombie Apocalypse...

Oh yeah and if any of you are good at drawing or animating please tell me. I could really use some animating in my game
Only bad thing is if you blow up a part of the building it all falls down because of gravity and it stuffs up the game
