WIndows 8 Minecraft Problem
So I recently got a new gaming computer and sadly it has Windows 8. All the function buttons like f1,f2,f3,and so on don't work in-game.Instead they open up some other things.Is there a way I can go third person,check my coordinates,and do all the other stuff?

If you have Windows 8, install Classic Shell. It'll have Windows 8 behave like Windows 7.
It is designed for mobile devices, but in general yes Windows.

I dunno but Windows 8 is more for mobile devices so I think you could maybe move to Linux because it is free download. Maybe you could get Windows 7, I mean I really am not good with Windows 8 because I've never used it..
Actually, that's Windows Phone... hence it's name.

See the ''fn'' button on your keyboard? Hold that down and then press the function buttons like f1, f2, f3.
I think one thing you can do is press and hold the "fn" key and then the key you want to press. I think there also may be an option in your keyboard settings to change what happens when you press keys like "f1, f2, etc". Hope I helped!
i dont know about this myself but if you do find anything about this could you post back on here? i am getting a new comp at christmas and i know for a fact its windows 8

I have windows 8, no touch screen, and it works fine...
You could also just downgrade to 7 if you have a copy lying around.
I've never bought a WIndows software disc.
