I have windows 8 it is ok but windows 7 is nice to. On windows 8 you can switch back to 7.

Windows 8 = Complete shit. It's more like a downgrade. It has Wifi issues etc.

I don't really know.. Windows 7 is far more simple and easier to get familiar with, but I like the look of Windows 8..

Using Windows 8 right now. And having problems with Wifi is a problem on your end. Not being able to use F5 will have nothing to do with the OS, it's also on your end. Sure, it takes a while to get used to the changes, but 8.1 fixes everything.

It's a fact that Windows 8 is / will be faster; for a start, it boots faster, which is always good. It is also a lot better optimized, which will also effect performance. In terms of gaming, it's going to be slightly better in terms of the high end spec games, due to Win8 having DirectX 11.1 support. with Win7 being at 11. New games may take advantage of this and Win7 users will lose out on some graphical improvement.

90% of everyone's hate towards Win8 is not valid. some in this thread are an example. Eventually people will have to get used to it, because I find absolutely nothing wrong with Windows 8.

I personally prefere Windows 8, it's faster. I'm using Ethernet, so I have no WiFi issues.

My opinion is that windows 8 is better. And every thing you need pops on a screen and easier to get to if you put it on start. Windows 8 had bugs but windows 8.1 got rid of them all so it's better. So I think windows 8.1 is better and this is a better thing to get! Take from my experiences I had no problems with it at ALL. Windows 7 was good but your screen would be full of a ton of stuff. And in 8 1 you get 2 screens to mostly put stuff on. So that is my opinion. Hoped this help!!!

I love windows 8. If you use it enough, you forget you are using windows 8. Windows 8 is the best OS since Windows Vista.

Windows Vista has gone down in history as the worst operating system ever made. That is essentially fact now. They had a good thing going, and then introduced the most confusing piece of incompatible, under-performing garbage ever.

No start button? LOL, have you been reading the announcements from Microsoft? Start button was added in 8.1

And actually, I hated windows 8. Until I got it.
It looked like crap before, and after I got it, I noticed how much more efficient it is, sure windows 7 looks cleaner, but it isn't as fast as say, windows XP.
