An intelligence is defined as the ability to acquire and apply knowledge and skills. So, my question is, are chatbots such as Cleverbot considered true artificial intelligences, because they learn from their conversations? Or is there something more that's required to be truly artificially intelligent? Discussion, go!

I am not sure on this one, as it learns from conversations so it must have at least a tiny bit of artificial intelligance, but since it is scripted to learn from what it gets as an answer before, i don't really think that it is artificial intelligence.

It isn't an artificial intelligence. If it was, Minecraft would be an artificial intelligence. It's just a program.

I dont think cleverbot is artificial intelligence. It does not act on its own, it responds how it is told to respond.
