I'm an atheist, I have been one since I was 13, and I was agnostic before then. I was brought up in a christian household in the bible belt (southern usa). I am now a sophomore in high school.
I would like to take a little bit of time to perhaps clear up some questions and even ask some questions myself:
If you are also an atheist, what caused you to be an atheist (if anything)?
if you are not an atheist, what religion are you subscribed to and why that religion over every other religion?

I'm sorry, but this topic is a really touchy one. Please avoid religious/political discussion on this site as it often causes flame wars and arguments, such as a other recent religious thread that was locked for the same reason today, which we would like to prevent.
People like you tell Christians to quit shoving religion down your throats, but you go off and outright announce it here? Hypocritical. Your beliefs are your own business - don't go announcing it.
i'd always been agnostic. i don't really care much about religions unless they're causing a major problem >-<
