Computer Help, AGAIN!

Minecraft needs about 3 or 4GB of ram,I find it annoying also because the game is made out of blocks,You need a good graphics card also,and that's annoying because they cost a crap ton of money and if you have a laptop your out of luck.I wouldn't suggest setting the priority to high on Java because it makes the controls lag and it's annoying.But don't worry I feel your pain,I have to use a different computer for Minecraft because I have a crappy 1 GB of ram computer with Windows 7 32-bit of all things and a crappy built in graphics card that got a 1.0 on the Windows score. I find that Mojang adds to much not needed things into Minecraft that make it lag.

Well if you buy the parts seperate you can get an awesome gaming computer, and for $600 (I think you mean dollars) you can get an alright one.

For £400 I got:

Galaxy Backlit Case
4gb RAM
AMD Athlon II X2 260 Processor
NVIDIA GT 430
2 x Acer LED 22" monitors

Thats the stuff I got for £400, but it has since been upgraded to 8gb RAM, Intel i5 processor, NVIDIA GeForce 570 + NVIDIA GT 430.

To be honest, getting a PC for minecraft really depends on how much you want to build big things/ look at big things. If your totally satisfied with using tiny view the whole time, then you can live with 2GB of memory, but if you are hell bent on using nothing but far view, obviously your going to be needing something in the bounds of 8GB.

Changing the resolution of your tex pack doesn't really impact the speed of the game very much since 16x16 is already extreeemly low, doubling it to 32 or even 64 doesn't really do much (in my experience).

I have 4GB, i always play with firefox open using about 1GB (I am addicted to tabs), and i can cope with normal or far view, it does take my FPS down to the regions of the 30s and 20s AND i do use the default 16x16 tex pack. So normally i just keep it on tiny and live with it.

Get an Asus, it is good all around and cheap, look at www.newegg.com that is where i got mine

I'm not good at rating things, but I would try to find a pc wit intel i5 or i7 and with 8 GB DDR3

I'd go with something from toshiba, Their computers aren't that good for gaming (preferably the satellite L655) but their reliable.

I'd go with an acer desktop. Cheap and good to play video games with.

The specs are ok, but it doesnt have a graphics card. Intel is not a graphics card.

Choose one which has a Nvidia or ATI graphics card.
