Conduit Revolution [Rp Application Thread]

So this is going to be based around the theme, time era, and location of the game inFAMOUS, if you don't know the plot of the game I will explain most of it, so now lets begin!

The year is 2016, Empire City, it was a typical Summer morning until a research facility in the Neon discrict exploded destroying six city blocks, sending the city into chaos. Whatever blew up in there caused a plauge, and the whole city was put in quarentine, the crime rate escalated, gangs took over the streets, the police dead or to cowardly to stop them. It seemed like god was raining down judgement on Empire City, but that wasn't it, the survivors of the explosion recieved some sort of powers, but of coarse everyone was to busy panicking to notice. So whose side are you on, are you one of the survivors blessed with the powers, trying to comprehend what has happened to you? Or are you a police officer or a gang member, battling for power over the city? Or are you a citizen struggling for survival in this disaster?

So first of all the survivors (conduits) had a special gene that made them absorb the energy instead of getting killed by it. They get a special power, (like in inFAMOUS you could take electricity and shoot it at enemies), and mabye a few other minor
powers,(like being able to survive large falls unharmed), they are still not immune to bullets though, they are just able to take more than he average human,they are not overpowered though, there special powers have drawnbacks (like you couldn't use guns and cars or get in water, he also could't shoot electricity through fences, making him easy to trap), so if discovered their weaknesses can be used heavily against them.
Second of all, the city is total ruin, building broken into or destroyed, shops looted,totaled cars lying on the side of the road or even in buildings, the whole city is quarintened with no help from the outside. So you shouldn't have a cabnit full of food and perfect living conditions for no reason whatsoever, and hardly anyone should be waltzing outside, because the remains of the police force are slugging it out with the gangs. Just so you have a idea of what has become of Empire City.

Backstory: Zaru was the son of a famous mafia boss and a mother who was an actress. They were both busy all the time, and they didn't pay much attention to him. One day, a hit went wrong when the cops ambushed them, and they managed to get enough information to arrest his father. They also managed to uncover that his mother took drugs, and they arrested her as well. Because of this, the mafia that his father ran fell into ruin and most members left. The remaining members busted his parents out, but his mother was killed by a guard. His father then decided to regather his mafia, and make it stronger then ever. He tried to teach Zaru the ways of the mafia boss, but Zaru didn't want to have all the responsibilty and rebelled by running away. He went to a different city, where he was found by a kind couple, who adopted and raised him as their own. He was 17 when one day his adoptive father was sitting by the breakfast table, reading a newspaper, when he exclaimed "What?!? Dennis Maritti just died!" Zaru responded by saying "Oh." then he dashed out of the house, called a taxi over, and gave him his old address. The cabbie looked at him strangely, but he got to his (biological) dad's house, and he burst through the doors. A bunch of men that were just at the door suddenly went back a few steps and pointed out their guns at him, until one recognized him and he told the others. They then welcomed him in, and Zaru is now the leader of a crime empire.
How you rp: Zaru got out of his bed, yawning. 'I hope all the crazy stuff that's been happening lately calms down..' He thought to himself as he got dressed.

His Dad was KIA on a mission to recover the lost files to 12KAAK, only viewable by Certified Government Officials. Ryan was celebrating his 42nd Birthday when the Neon District was blown to smithereens. A happy moment instantly threw Ryan into a spiral of depression. He managed to escape the vicinity of the explosion, and did not receive any "special" powers. Only a lucky few have received help from Ryan, getting protection from the Conduits and deadly Gang Members. No one is sure of where he lives, but one thing is for sure, he has his Remington Shotgun aimed right at the source of evil.

Backstory: Jack was never a smart kid. His brother Zane was though. Jack was always a trouble maker. Zane was a goody-two-shoes. They were pretty much exact opposites. However, they were still best friends, and stuck together. By the time Zane was 20, he had already began testing with neural behavior of different people. At this time, Jack was only 13, struggling through Junior High. Zane had developed an experimental drug to enhance brain function, and was selling it, not exactly in the most legal way. Jack found out about it, and immediately wanted to try it. Zane tried to stop Jack, but Jack wouldn't hear it. He even threatened Zane with blackmail, no matter how many times Zane told him it was dangerous. Jack took the drug, feeling no side effects... at first. His brain activity doubled, making him a thinking machine, very smart. Nothing too special, but straight A material. He continued on, graduating from college, founding his own little science lab where he made medicines, various stuff like that, and in the basement, he continued on his brothers work, making his own branch of the drug. After making a little beta version, he tested it on himself, and it worked perfectly. He was soon a pure genius. Jack worked for a year trying to improve it before the government came a-knocking. Naturally, he was frightened out of his wits, but was very relieved when they told him what they were there for. They took Jack with them to a secret place, more secret even than Area 51. He was locked in a white room with his lab materials and some other scientists. There, he was free to work on whatever he wanted, as long as he did what they told him, such as inventing some sort of medicine or weapon every now and again. Jack began buckling under the stress as the governments requests became more and more complex. He began taking overdoses of the drug, which didn't turn out well. he went bonkers from it. He was incapable of anything other than incoherent babbling. After making sure he was completely insane, and not just faking, the government locked him up in an asylum, where he sat happily for awhile. However, when the explosion hit, Jack was set free, in mind and in body. The disease-type conduit making thingamabob allowed his smart self to take some control over the insanity. However, the insanity still kept a firm hold on his brain. Nowadays, he roams around, being mostly insane.
How you rp: Jack scaled up the building, just beyond the reach of the man below. Jack laughed as the man jumped up and down, flailing his arms angrily and swearing. "Now, watch your language mister. It's a bad habit." He said, still laughing hysterically. Getting bored of the flailing man, he ripped a chunk of brick out of the wall and tossed it down at the man, laughing even harder when the brick hit the man's skull, making him fall limp. "Nitwit." He muttered.
Major Power: Improbable levels of intelligence. Using this, he can read body motions, and see what people are about to do, exactly what is going to happen in the world around him, et cetera.
Minor Powers: He has better than average strength, speed and senses.
Weaknesses: His own insanity for one thing. But, as you meant it, he can't stand cold for very long, too much cold just makes him curl up into a blabbering little ball of nonsense.
Skills: Being a genius.
Personality: Bonkers. Completely off his rocker. Often makes obscure references.
