Hello All Fellow Aspiring Server Owners!

Have you wanted to create your very OWN Bukkit server with plugins, from your own computer?
Ever thought that Bukkit servers are complicated and hard?

They're Not!

Even you can create your very own Bukkit server by following the these simple steps!

1. Create A Folder On Your Desktop. Name It: Bukkit

2. Open Your Web Browser, And Got To: http://iridiumpowered.webs.com/downloads

3. Navigate To The Right Side Of The Page And Click: Download Beta

4. Once Downloaded, Drag The Iridium Server Manager Into Your Folder You Created Earlier: Bukkit

5. Double Click The Iridium Server Manager, Open It, And Navigate To "Download Bukkit. Click Download Recommended.

6. Once Downloaded, Run The Server. The Manager Will Then Create Multiple Files And Folders Inside Your Bukkit Folder. Then, stop the server.

7. Boom! You Have The Basics Set!

Now, you need to port forward!

1. Open Your Web Browser, And Go To: http://portforward.com/english/routers/ ... rindex.htm

2. Locate The Name Of Your Router. For This Example I Will Use The Linksys AG241.

**EXAMPLE**

I will click on the Linksys AG241 Router.

A long list of games will come up.
http://portforward.com/english/routers/ ... efault.htm

I will then find the Minecraft section.
http://portforward.com/english/routers/ ... Server.htm

This will show me EXACTLY what I need to know and do, including screenshots!

DO EXACTLY WHAT I DO, JUST WITH YOUR ROUTER MODEL.

Boom! You are now ready to test your port-forwarding!

Start your server back up.

Go to: http://www.yougetsignal.com/tools/open-ports/

Enter 25565 into the PORT box, on the left.

Click The Check Button.

If the flag is green, you are good to go!
If it is red, you did something wrong, or your server is not on.
Check multiple times to make sure!

Boom, You Are Almost There!

You need to give people you EXTERNAL IP so they can join your server!

Go to: http://www.yougetsignal.com/what-is-my-ip-address/

THAT IS THE IP YOU GIVE PEOPLE!

Ok! You have completed the BASIC Bukkit Tutorial!

To connect to your own server, open Command Prompt on your computer. Type ipconfig.

It will give you your LAN IP address. ONLY YOU USE THAT TO CONNECT.

You can download plugins such as world edit and world guard here:
http://dev.bukkit.org/server-mods/

PLACE PLUGINS IN THE PLUGINS FOLDER INSIDE YOUR BUKKIT FOLDER!

I hope this tutorial helped, and if you need ANY more help, feel free to PM me!

Thanks,

-Ryan
