If aliens with advanced technology were real and we assume they are good, if you could communicate with them, what would you say?

Another thought rovoking question….
Being a long time player for the red/threat team, I'm having trouble getting past the assumption…even allowing per argumentum pure motives, the means of implementation might be unacceptable. [​Ending want, war, and strife sounds rather noble, but not if the means is turning Homo sap. into Eloi.]
As such, initial communication would focus on determining intended actions and motives.
[​I don't see a downside to the approach as beings that actually were omnibenevolent would be expected to respect caution, and being that were not would best be treated with suspicion an any case.]

Oh gosh that's a deep question. I'd probably ask them about what defines their sapience! For me, I view sapient nature as the ability and desire to amass wisdom and knowledge. Most people here would probably agree. I'd then take that answer and keep asking questions to show curiosity and an appreciation for their visit.
