Hey guys! Im hoping to get this computer to play games and record at the same time. How do you think it would be for:
oThe Walking Dead
o Portal 2
o Bioshock Infinite
o Other demanding games
So tell me what you think

What are you thinking by making an amd build and then using nvidia! USE INTEL!!
Umm..those are just sugesstions
It really doesn't matter which cpu you choose. They will both work fine for you.
Alright everyone, not trying to make this into a "Intel vs. AMD War"
You people love 8GB don't you?
Anyways, your monitor didn't have an HDMI so I changed that. I also changed the processor and the ram.

Everything seems fine, except you're using a second gen cpu. Why? Get a third gen.
Ew windows 8
It is fine.
Windows8aphobes.

8 ram is good dude

It's the Intel build. (Cuz you like Intel eh?) I included a capture card too.
What is the capture card exactly used for? I thought I could just use my recording program to record gameplay.
Only necessary for consoles (lol).

What a capture card does is show you playing on a console on your PC monitor, with the ability to record video of you gaming. You can then edit it with Movie Maker (free on pcs with windows xp or vista) or iMovie (free new macs).
I'd recommend to use an HDMI Port with the computer. Your Graphics card has one. Don't know about the monitor.
Oh. And it provides 0 lag when recording.

The 8350 is a better cpu for 25$ less. You don't really need the 670 you choose. You could get a 7970 for 50$ less.
Well, I've seen benchmarks, and the i5 seems to do better than the 8350..that's just according to the benchmarks, though.
Which benchmarks? The 3570k beats it in a few games but in most the 3570k is killed by the 8350. Sky already posted this on the first page.
Also, cpubenchmark scores the 8350 at 9142 and the 3570k at 7126, that's 2,000+ points better.

I see that you didn't see the full title of the video.
It says benchmarks when you are recording/live streaming, not actually playing the game.

Anyone else?
@ SkyTechKid I'll probably get yours

Don't do Windows 8 >.< Seven all the way.
Alright. Opinions? Im still thinking about the one that SkyTechKid posted, and seems that many other people agree.
My recommendation:
8 gigs RAM
i5 3470
Dual hard drives (one for recording), toss out SSD
Everything else is fine.

It seems fine, just go for 8 gb of ram instead of 16
Alright. I just hope its good for recording the latest games. Don't want to waste my money on this, if im not going to get any use out of it? Am i right?
Yeh i agree with sky tech kid. i have this processor overclocked and use my pc for recording rendering etc and it runs perfect. ps i also hav 8gb ram
4 Gigs will run anything you throw at it momentary.
2 Gigs will run anything you throw at it momentary.
More memory is mainly aimed toward multi-monitor users.
Actually, I will be using 2 monitors.
EVGA GeForce GTX 670 4GB Video Card
you will never use those 4gig
you will never use those 4gig
Titan users will never use those 6 gigs.
He doesn't like AMD because he had an AMD-TK53
Umm..well..interesting conversation going on here.
tl;dr
8 GB RAM is fine
NVIDIA isn't necessarily superior
but Intel processors are still on top
Have a nice day.

Well than, is that a no to this computer? http://pcpartpicker.com/p/TsPH
Take out the 16 GB, only keep 8
Throw out the SSD for another hard drive, use the second HDD for all of your recordings
Liquid cooling isn't really necessary
Throw out the FX 8350 and get an i5 3470, much better performance (personal experience, and the price isn't that much more)
Everything else is pretty much great.[/quote]
Well, heres what I decided on!

.__. So much stuff to choose from..and now the issue of OS's..just wow. Im thinking about both builds, but the one that SkyTechKid posted seems to interest me.
