Hey Miners got a question for all of you that only you the community can answer.

I'm working on a new Map and I terraformed it, by doing so I created a huge gap, so that if the player moves out of the playable area it be a long way to see the main lands that minecraft generates. Its a huge open sea in other words and you would have to swimm or go with the boat a far way to allow minecraft to generate random landscape.

While this is pretty cool and plays a certain role so that if you go to the corner of my terraformed map it would look fitting. However by doing so the world save is 500mb big.

So my question to you is: Is that to big? Would you bother downloading such a file size?
Or is it just to big?

And if so, what could you recommand me to do?
I could compress it via winrar of course but that has its limits. Any better idea then that?
I also have thought that I'll just cut out the part that I want without the sea via mcedit.

Please help me with this question and many thanks.

PS: The map is going to be really fun to play when its finally done.
