Intel or AMD for Compiling/CodeWork
I do tend to work pretty heavy in development with my code and its starting to lack in time, so i might do a new system build.
I do know that C++ does go straight to the processor for performance, but ill stick to VB.NET and C# for now.
Ive never yet had an issue with my AM3 Phenom II x4 945(Black Edt) or any other AMD processor, buy my question is for you hardcore programmers, what would you use?
Examples:
My project cloakboard, it takes about 21 seconds to clean compile from scratch
it takes abut 7 seconds to build when adding a new form
(Notice: i do use a SSD that is rated(Rounded) at 450MBPS(Read and Write, i doubt that would be the lacking.)

Intel all the way for that, Its more complex and works better for certain things you may be doing. AMD is just cheaper and has a little less things then intel.
Can you provide proof of this? ive really never bothered to test compiling on intel.
